Labyrinth Design and Construction

I have painted labyrinths on the floors of churches, made them out of sticks in the forest, trampled them as simple paths in the snow, drawn them in the soft sand of beaches, and shared them with groups of all ages.  I received training in labyrinth design with Robert Ferre, founder of the Labyrinth Society, in San Francisco, CA.  There are labyrinth designs from all over the world, both modern and ancient, each one is unique and can be fully customized to meet your needs. A small labyrinth is painted on the floor of the gallery. It makes a lovely decorative element for any room. Contact me if you would like to have a labyrinth designed to help create a sacred space for you if you would like to walk one of the labyrinths that I painted with a team of wonderful volunteers, please see the Deer Park United Church in the 'Links' section below, for their web site where you will find contact information.

Veriditas Certified Labyrinth Facilitator

Guided Labyrinth Walks

I received my facilitator training in 2011 with Veriditas in Chartres, France, and was certified in 2012. I have developed several styles of guided labyrinth walks with each offering a unique approach to the labyrith experience.

Guided labyrinth walks with Sacred Sound offer the participant an opportunity to open and explore the creative power of their voice with the meditative sounds of Singing Bowls, Celtic Harps and other instruments. Walking to the flow of this inspiring music helps to soften our hearts and open our minds to the natural and effortless harmony that lies within.

Walking To the Beat of Your Own Drum offers the participant an opportunity to journey inward as the rhythms of their breath and heart beat are reflected in the sound of their drum. This combination of sound and movement helps to ground and center our awareness in the present moment, and connect to the Hearbeat of Mother Earth.

Guided labyrinth walks in Contemplative Silence are introspective, they offer time and space for quiet self reflection. These walks help open the door to inner sources of guidance and inspiration and are especially useful during times of self questioning or major life change. For more information about labyrinths follow this link to my web site on sacred sound.

Please contact me if you would like to book a labyrinth walk or if you would like to be notified of future labyrinth walk events planned for the Greater Calgary and Foothills Region.
